Join us to discover a purpose you can wrap your heart around Role Overview As a House Manager, you'll work closely with a Case Manager and Therapeutic Specialist to provide a safe, supportive and structured home for children and young people in residential care. Responsibilities You will oversee daily operations, mentor and support staff, and help young people develop important life skills, stay engaged in education, and maintain meaningful connections with family, community, and other support networks. Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, service standards and LWB policies and procedures. Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, offering guidance and role modelling for your team. Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people. Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques. Provide reflective supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a strong, supportive team culture. Skills & Experience Hold a Diploma qualification or higher in Community Services or related field. Note: A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience. Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, such as out-of-home care (OOHC) and Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) settings. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern. Understanding of trauma informed care with the skills to apply this when supporting children and young people. Proven ability to guide and mentor a team, developing skills and confidence to deliver consistent, quality support. Current First Aid (HLTAID011) qualification. A current, unrestricted driver's licence. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register checks.
