No night shifts – AM shift 08:30–17:00 or PM shift 13:30–22:00, Monday–Sunday. About Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) MHDAS provides integrated and recovery‑oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing or at risk of experiencing mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families. Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client‑centred, accessible and family inclusive. The Team Will undertake assessments rated by Triage as Category B (CAT B) or Category C (CAT C) for the 12–65 age range; provide brief intervention to consumers requiring tertiary mental health treatment for up to a maximum of 28 days, where consumers are in an acute phase of their illness, are not otherwise engaged with community mental health services and are aged 16–65; provide ED post‑follow‑up phone calls to consumers who have left the ED after assessment and are not referred to other tertiary mental health services. About You Registered Psychiatric Nurse; Must have experience in acute mental health and AOD assessment and treatment; Be able to demonstrate clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of people with acute mental health and substance use disorders in a community setting. About the Role We are seeking highly motivated clinicians to provide acute community assessment and treatment for people in the acute phase of their mental illness and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) use.
