About the Role The role of industrial spray painter covers a wide range of tasks at CVPC starting from preparation and powder application all the way through to packing. This position is being offered with relation to vacancies in our growing sandblasting operations working to prepare steel substrates for powder application. Check and inspect jobs prior to sandblasting. Operation of sandblasting equipment to prepare steel substrate jobs to a minimum of class 2.5. Working in a sandblasting chamber with air fed blast helmet and suit. Maintain blasting machinery and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition. Ensuring operational areas are left in a clean and safe manner, including staff amenities and carpark. Clearly labelling of jobs after completion. Maintaining operations to keep up with oven production loads. Working in accordance with company’s policies and procedures. Other duties as instructed from time to time. Skills and Experience CVPC requires employees with at least 5 years of sand blasting experience. Experience in equipment maintenance and breakdown rectification is mandatory (Tertiary education or hands on experience required). The ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications. Other Requirements CVPC has developed and takes pride in its highly diversified team with people from Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The ability to work in and embrace a diverse team is mandatory. Driver’s License. Random drug and alcohol testing. Permitted to work permanently with no restrictions on hours. Work Hours Morning Shift Afternoon Shift Night Shift Weekend Work Salary $65,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience) per annum plus Superannuation #J-18808-Ljbffr
