#Acareerthatmatters. #Acontributionthatcounts.As the Executive Director, Operations you will lead a team focussed on strengthening the innovation system through industry engagement, ecosystem development, and investment management.You will provide strategic leadership for the Advance Queensland program, establishing areas of priority and focussing on ensuring innovation's role in enhancing economic competitiveness and performance. Your role will analyse and monitor international and national economic and innovation trends to advise on appropriate actions to maximise the potential of Queensland's innovation system.As an Innovative leader, you will provide significant capability, insight and vision to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in relation to operational policy with a view to reducing red tape, optimising return on government investment and ensuring a robust framework for reporting that is outcome focused and results oriented. You will promote best practices in program design, delivery, and evaluation for quality outcomes and evidence based, informed decision-making.Key to your success will be your proven ability to navigate and develop constructive and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of highly complex stakeholders across all levels of government and industry, representing the department in strengthening the innovation system and realising tangible outcomes for Queensland.As an agile and inspirational leader, you will drive workforce capability with a positive performance culture and inspire others by driving clarity, engagement, and a sense of purpose, fostering a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people, actively engaging through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.We are looking for a dynamic, avant-garde executive leader, who displays outstanding judgement, high-level integrity, strong agility to adapt to a constantly changing environment, a strong achievement orientation, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
