About the Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the daily upkeep of our manufacturing equipment and site services. From preventative maintenance to urgent breakdowns, you’ll help ensure our production lines run efficiently and safely. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in maintaining our high standards in food safety and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Execution : Complete preventative, planned, and breakdown maintenance tasks safely, thoroughly, and on time. Operational Efficiency : Ensure manufacturing lines run at or above target rates by minimising downtime and optimising equipment performance. Communication : Keep stakeholders informed on equipment status, repair timelines, and resolutions. Documentation : Accurately complete all maintenance‑related paperwork and records. Teamwork & Planning : Work independently and collaboratively to plan and execute maintenance tasks. Safety & Compliance : Uphold HACCP, GMP, BRC, and OHS standards. Continuous Improvement : Apply your experience to identify and implement improvements in equipment reliability and performance. About You: We’re looking for a mechanically minded professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment: Experience : Proven background in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, dairy, or similar industries. Qualifications : Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Fitter. Technical Skills : Hands‑on experience with steam boilers, trade waste treatment, high‑speed packaging, pneumatics, ammonia refrigeration and SCADA systems. Software Proficiency : Familiarity with CMMS platforms like MEX, Mainpac, or Kronos. Welding Skills : TIG and Arc welding capabilities, especially with stainless steel. Communication : Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Adaptability : Comfortable working in changing environments and within short time frames. Physical Capability : Able to lift up to 15kg, work in hot/cold conditions, and perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, and operating equipment. Why Join Us?
