Future Power WA Pty Ltd – Cockburn Central WA Future Power WA is needing to fill the position of a Cable Jointer (Technical Cable Jointer). This is a full-time role (minimum 38 hours per week) with a remuneration of $150,000 – $170,000 per annum, commensurate with skill and work experience. Prerequisites / Qualification At least 3 years’ experience as a Cable Jointer – 3 years’ work relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of formal qualifications. Experience in completing XLPE terminations and joints. Responsibilities Work with and understand technical drawings. Job preparation as required. Assembly and erection of electrical equipment, jointing and other related infrastructure. Jointing & termination of underground HV/LV power cables. HV terminations on various types of switchgear. Installation of earthing/earth grids for substation HV assets. LV works including pillar installation and terminations. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical systems. Install ground & pole-mounted switchgear, lighting, underground conduits, cables, switchboards, and distribution boards. Conduct testing and commissioning activities for electrical installations. Build, maintain, and optimize power distribution networks. Ensure compliance with installation documentation and safety programs. Regularly liaise with clients on‑site to ensure projects run smoothly. Participate in quality and safety programs. Manage plant and equipment.
