Join to apply for the Cable Jointer (Technical Cable Jointer) role at Future Power WA . This is a full‑time role (minimum 38 hours per week) with a remuneration of $150,000‑$170,000 per annum, commensurate with skill and experience. Qualifications • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable Jointer (or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications). • Experience completing XLPE terminations and joints. Responsibilities Work with and interpret technical drawings. Prepare job as required. Assemble and erect electrical equipment, perform jointing and related infrastructure tasks. Joint and terminate underground HV/LV power cables. Perform HV terminations on various types of switchgear. Install earthing/earth grids for substation HV assets. Perform LV works including pillar installation and terminations. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical systems. Install ground and pole‑mounted switchgear, lighting, underground conduits, cables, switchboards and distribution boards. Conduct testing and commissioning activities for electrical installations. Build, maintain and optimise power distribution networks. Ensure compliance with installation documentation and safety programmes. Maintain regular liaison with on‑site clients to ensure projects run smoothly. Participate in quality and safety programmes, plant and equipment management, and compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental systems.
