AO4 Case Officer – Multiple Positions $59.16 per hour + super (PAYG, 38.00 hours per week) Brisbane CBD office location (hybrid – 2 days WFH) Start : Second week of December 2025 or 5 January 2026 (all roles start together) – contract to 30 / 6 / 26 Six Degrees is partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit multiple AO4 Case Officers to support a high-profile program focused on assessing and processing skilled and business applications. Working within a small, collaborative team, these roles will suit candidates who enjoy structured, process-driven work, have strong attention to detail, and are comfortable working to clear guidelines and service standards. You will be joining a growing team at a busy time, with measurable, queue-based workloads and clear expectations around quality, accuracy and timeliness. As an AO4 Case Officer, you will : Assess and process applications in accordance with program guidelines, policy frameworks and established service standards. Review applicant information and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and eligibility. Integrate information from various sources and apply sound judgement to provide reliable assessment recommendations. Prepare recommendations for approval, refusal or escalation where conditions are ambiguous or complex. Maintain accurate records and data within internal systems to support transparent and auditable program delivery. Draft and prepare correspondence, and contribute to reports and briefing materials to support decision-making. Provide professional, timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems and documentation to improve efficiency and client experience. Actively support a positive, collaborative and inclusive team culture. Ideal backgrounds : Visa, migration, passport, grants or program processing. Government or regulatory administration involving assessment / compliance. University or program admissions and enrolments. Paralegal, document review, records or case management environments. High-volume customer service or call centre roles with structured queues. Any role involving detailed case management, assessment or decision-making against guidelines. Selection criteria : Experience interpreting and applying policy, program guidelines or eligibility criteria to assess applications and make evidence-based recommendations. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse information, identify inconsistencies and apply critical thinking to problem solve. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, complete administrative tasks accurately and deliver quality outcomes within defined timeframes. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide professional, responsive client service to a range of stakeholders. The ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared goals.
