General Manager – Luxury Private Members Club (Waterfront Location – Sydney) An ultra‑luxury private members’ club is preparing to open in Sydney — a discreet, invitation‑only space set in an absolute waterfront location. Designed for a highly selective membership of high‑net‑worth individuals, industry leaders and A‑list guests, this club will deliver a world‑class hospitality experience in one of the city’s most desirable settings. This is an intimate, refined environment with a strong focus on high‑end whisky, premium wines and exceptional service standards. Privacy, sophistication and personal connection sit at the heart of the experience. We’re searching for a Venue Manager who can uphold these standards from day one. The Role You’ll be the face of the club and the curator of the member experience. Key responsibilities include: Leading daily operations in a small, ultra‑premium, invitation‑only environment Creating a service culture defined by discretion, anticipation and balance Working closely with ownership to shape rituals, service standards and the member journey Managing and developing a polished, tight‑knit team Overseeing premium beverage programs — including rare whisky, aged spirits and fine wines — with accuracy and confidence Maintaining an impeccable atmosphere, presentation and standard of professionalism This role is about presence, refinement, and delivering an effortless yet exceptional experience. Who We’re Looking For Background in luxury hospitality: five‑star hotels, private members’ clubs, high‑end lounges or premium boutique venues A composed, confident host accustomed to HNW and A‑list clientele Strong beverage knowledge — WSET Level 2 (or equivalent) ideal Genuine appreciation for premium whisky, wines and elevated service rituals Skilled in leading small, high‑performing teams in intimate settings Detail‑driven, discreet, polished and consistent You’ll excel here if you understand the subtleties of true luxury — the tone, the pace, the unspoken expectations, and the calm confidence required to deliver it.
