Overview Join a passionate research team at the forefront of autoimmune disease discovery. As a Research Project Support Officer, you will support the Autoimmune Research Unit (ARU) at John Hunter Hospital, coordinating multiple clinical and investigator‑initiated research projects to directly impact patient care. Responsibilities Coordinate and support research projects from ethics submissions through data collection, analysis and reporting. Assist with research documentation, governance applications and financial management within clinical trials. Collaborate with clinicians, research partners and sponsors to ensure smooth project delivery. Maintain accurate records, protect participant confidentiality and contribute to continuous process improvement. Qualifications Experience in health‑related research or clinical trials and sound understanding of research protocols. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proactive, solutions‑focused, and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Demonstrated confidentiality, professionalism and accuracy. Experience in financial management within clinical trials (highly regarded). Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical databases (Medline, PubMed, Embase), research systems such as Redcap, and CTMS. Quantitative/qualitative analysis, secure data management, HREC and RGO submissions, basic statistical analysis. Strong organisational, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication. Understanding of project and program operations, financial management and process improvement.
