Overview Be among the first 25 applicants. What’s the role about? Being a Recovery Support Worker at Richmind WA is more than just a job—it’s a calling. You’ll support people navigating mental distress to build independence, reconnect with their strengths, and take steps toward the life they want to live. You’ll be part of a supportive team, working in our residential homes—helping people feel safe, seen, and heard. We have a number of part time positions available at Orelia. All rosters include overnights, and weekends. Responsibilities Share a cuppa and talk through the day’s recovery goals Help someone practice budgeting, cooking, or transport planning Support a person in distress with empathy and calm Celebrate small wins (e.g., attending a group activity) Log notes, communicate with your team, or attend a learning session Support a resident’s family to understand how to walk the recovery journey with them What makes you a great fit You don’t need to be a mental health expert—you just need to care deeply about people and believe in their ability to grow and heal. Skills and Experiences Has a Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or similar—and experience in mental health Is emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, and values teamwork Can support someone through a tough moment, not just a task Understands (or wants to learn) recovery-oriented practice Has a current driver’s licence and relevant checks Lived experience of recovery (as a consumer, carer or family member) is especially valued here You’ll need Cert IV in a mental health or similar and previous experience National Police Clearance (under 6 months old) Working With Children Check First Aid & CPR (HLTAID011, HLTAID010, HLTAID009) Valid driver’s licence Why join us?
