We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic team members to grow with us. Altus Traffic currently has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Payroll Officer based in Macquarie Park. You would be assisting our already established payroll team in providing accurate and effective processing of the payroll function, this fast-paced role requires a dynamic and energetic person who has a strong foundation/knowledge of processing all aspects of the payroll function, including wages, PAYG, union fees, payroll tax, Work Cover, child support, long service leave, income and severance and superannuation. Training would be provided for this role. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of the company’s high volume, weekly, timesheet-based payroll within strict timeframes, but also be a self-motivated team player as a part of the wider finance team. Duties Be a part of Payroll team and assist with : Entry/Upload of payroll information into accounting software, and reconciliation Payroll queries, adjustments and Terminations Month-end reporting Database maintenance and update The ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment Work actively in the team to enhance team performance Maintain strong key relationships with the Staff Engagement teams Monitor and ensure that quality standards are met Identifying problems and improvements in processes and procedures Recording and taking action to problem solve and make improvements, and informing others as required Skills & Experience Technical and practical skills in payroll management 1-2 Years of experience Exposure to hire volume labour hire and/or a casual workforce High level of computer literacy, MS Office programs and accounts payable systems Systems experience with Attache - highly desirable Understanding of tax law and taxing legislation Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer service focus A commitment to safety in all we do - an industry leader Fun and engaging safety and wellbeing initiatives for everyone to be involved in Birthday and anniversary reward and recognition Active contributor to the SHAKA Project, SARAH Group and National Road Safety Week #J-18808-Ljbffr
