An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager to join the Aged Care team at Karlarra House in South Hedland in the Pilbara. To be successful, you will have: Advanced clinical, managerial and leadership skills. Proven ability to lead a team in delivering aged care that is person centred and meets all relevant Aged Care quality standards. Demonstrated well developed ability to manage human, material and environmental resources to achieve optimum resident care. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence a positive culture in the workplace. Position Profile The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) Karlarra House position will work in partnership with the Facility Manager to ensure high standards of clinical care to residents, consistent with the Aged Care Quality Standards and WACHS Clinical Governance Framework. The position will provide clinical leadership, nursing consultancy and support to the clinical team promoting person centred, compassionate care to all residents that reflects the WACHS values. Area Profile Karlarra House, located in Port Hedland in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, is the WA Country Health Service’s only stand‑alone residential aged care facility. This 56‑bed service supports older Aboriginal and non‑Aboriginal residents with complex needs, including advanced dementia and chronic conditions, through a dedicated team of nurses, care assistants and an Aboriginal Liaison Officer. Port Hedland itself is a vibrant coastal town and a major iron ore export hub, offering modern amenities, a strong sense of community and an enviable outdoor lifestyle with stunning beaches and year‑round adventure. Together, Karlarra House and its Pilbara setting provide both essential care and a unique regional experience. Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed‑term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
