Overview Retail Smart Group is a fast growing eCommerce retailer with exciting consumer brands in the eco & health industries. You will work across multiple brands with a reusable/sustainable focus in various product categories including homewares, water bottles, water filters, and cleaning products. What are the essentials? Who? You’re results focussed with a passion for aesthetic products and lean product development. How? Full time role. Where? In our office/warehouse in Knoxfield, VIC. When? Hiring ASAP. Key Responsibilities Turn product ideas and category opportunities into clear briefs and a prioritised NPD roadmap Manage projects from concept through sampling, tooling, production and launch Direct and support our industrial designer on concepts, CAD and DFM Work with our China sourcing/QC on supplier selection, sampling and quality Own costing and margin for new products and recommend pricing bands Coordinate testing/compliance where required (food/water contact, etc.) Build and improve NPD processes, templates and documentation Qualifications You’re a doer who has already shipped multiple physical products, not just worked on concepts. 3+ years in consumer product development (homewares, kitchen, lifestyle or similar) Strong experience working with Chinese factories (sampling, tooling, production) Comfortable with glass, stainless steel, silicone and related materials Design‑literate: can read and critique CAD/technical drawings (industrial design/engineering background a plus) Solid commercial understanding: MOQs, landed cost, tooling, margin Experience working with remote/offshore teams is a big plus Genuine interest in sustainability, materials and product detail Benefits As well as a great company culture, free parking and a generous employee product discount scheme.
