We are building a culture centered on real impact and collaboration, because our team is the heart of our innovation. We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the UK & IE region. This role is foundational as we establish our presence in a new, high-growth market segment. You will own the full sales cycle and help build our UK/IE sales motion from the ground up. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end sales cycle: from prospecting and discovery through to value-led demos, business case creation, negotiation, and closing new logos. Strategically identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities within the SaaS and eCommerce ecosystem to build a robust pipeline. Clearly map how Base's solutions (multichannel listings, order orchestration, WMS, inventory sync) solve customer pain points and drive their core KPIs (GMV, margin, SLA). Build trusted relationships with agencies, 3PLs, and marketplace partners to create new revenue streams. Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and conferences, actively networking to build our brand presence. Ensure accurate forecasting in HubSpot and provide a tight feedback loop to Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams. Qualifications 3-5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience (UK market), with a consistent history of achieving and exceeding sales quotas. Self-motivated, proactive, and thriving in ambiguity with a strong sense of ownership and resilience to build a new territory from scratch. A strong, practical understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem, including marketplaces, operations (inventory, listings, orders, fulfilment), and related technologies. Exceptional communication, discovery, and negotiation skills; confident running value-led demos and engaging senior decision-makers. Proficient with CRM (HubSpot preferred) and modern sales enablement tools. Based within a commutable distance to our Brighton office (4–5 days per week) and willing to travel for client meetings and events.
