Network and Cloud Security - Palo Alto Expert Location: Melbourne, VIC (Hybrid Working Arrangement) Duration: 7-Months Work Assignment Work Set Up: Hybrid Green Light Worldwide is seeking a Palo Alto Expert – Prisma High End Resource Specialist to join our dynamic technology team on a hybrid basis in Melbourne. This senior technical authority will architect, deploy, and optimise Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma suite (including Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and Prisma SD‑WAN) in complex enterprise environments. The role requires deep cloud security expertise, hands‑on technical capability, and leadership in implementing secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. Responsibilities Architect secure, scalable solutions using Palo Alto Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and SD‑WAN for enterprise clients. Integrate Prisma Cloud capabilities with AWS, Azure, GCP, and on‑premises environments. Implement Zero Trust principles and advanced security profiles (URL Filtering, Anti‑Spyware, IPS, WildFire). Lead deployment, configuration, and optimisation of Prisma solutions, including cloud‑delivered security and SD‑WAN. Conduct major system upgrades and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Develop and maintain security documentation, diagrams, and SOPs. Monitor, analyse, and optimise security controls across multi‑cloud environments. Perform security assessments, audits, and compliance checks (CIS, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, FedRAMP). Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to both new and existing implementations. Provide expert guidance to internal teams and clients on best practices for Prisma deployments. Lead technical sessions, project management, and cross‑functional coordination. Develop dashboards and reports to communicate security and risk posture. Proactively identify opportunities to optimise platform performance and enhance security coverage. Stay updated on the latest Palo Alto Networks technologies and industry trends. Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in network and cloud security, with at least 3 years specialising in Palo Alto Networks Prisma solutions. Strong hands‑on expertise with Palo Alto NGFWs, Panorama, GlobalProtect, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and SD‑WAN. Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network architectures. Proficiency in routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, and firewall configuration. Experience with DevSecOps integration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native security practices. Relevant certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer), PCCSE (Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer), or equivalent. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers. Desirable Palo Alto Networks PCNSE – Validates expertise in Palo Alto Networks technologies. PCCSE – Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (covering all aspects of Prisma Cloud). Prisma SD‑WAN Consultant/Support Engineer micro‑credentials for SD‑WAN specialisation. Ongoing education in cloud security, compliance, and network architecture.
