Sales Engineer - Industrial cleaning robotics Business Sector Employee Type Full Time Employee Type 80k/year - 90k/year Location Melbourne Job Overview Our client is a leader in the packaging machinery space across Australia and they are expanding their automation portfolio with a new Robotics Cleaning Division, focused on delivering innovative robotic cleaning and industrial automation solutions across Australia. They are now seeking a Robotics Sales Engineer to help grow this division - developing new business, managing client relationships, and supporting the technical integration of advanced robotic systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded engineer or technician with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in robotics. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin and English, comfortable dealing with customers, and capable of travelling domestically as required. Key Responsibilities Drive business development for the new Robotics Cleaning Division across Australia Identify, engage, and secure new customers in commercial and industrial sectors Provide technical support during pre-sales, demonstrations, and installations Liaise with suppliers and technical partners to ensure smooth integration of robotic systems Attend trade shows, client meetings, and product training sessions Deliver client presentations and prepare detailed technical proposals Manage customer relationships through ongoing communication and after-sales support About You Background in engineering or technical service (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or robotics) Some experience in robotics, automation, or industrial cleaning systems preferred Mandarin and English language proficiency required Technically minded with strong problem-solving and communication skills Confident, professional, and able to represent the business at all levels Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team This role offers a rare opportunity to join an emerging business unit within an established automation group and help shape its future direction.
