Quality, Compliance and WHS Manager

Assett Group Services is a leader in the provision of repairs and maintenance services, specialising in the social housing sector. We are seeking an experienced Quality, Compliance and WHS Manager to join our team in Macquarie Park. Reporting to our Group CEO, managing a reporting line of four, and working closely with other leadership roles within this business, this is a hands‑on position responsible for the overall management of our Integrated Management System – ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 – encompassing health, safety, quality and environment (HSEQ) across the business. Key Responsibilities Oversee the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring certification and compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards. Lead health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSEQ) initiatives across the business. Participate in client audits to ensure contractual requirements are being met. Guide and support project teams to build HSEQ capability and awareness. Develop, implement, and maintain relevant company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice across all operations. Manage incident and injury reporting, investigations, and corrective actions. Conduct site inspections, internal audits, and facilitate external audits. Deliver induction and ongoing training for staff and subcontractors. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure contract requirements are met. Coordinate regular compliance meetings and provide up‑to‑date advice to resolve issues. Attend client and their representatives’ meetings (on and offsite) where required. Monitor contractor performance and issue improvement or breach notices as required. Skills & Experience Proven experience in a similar role within the building industry (residential, maintenance, or repair) is preferred. Auditing qualifications (or 5+ years of relevant experience) with HSEQ ISO systems a must. Knowledge of relevant NSW legislation, codes of practice, and standards a must. Previous experience managing and motivating a small team is required. Previous experience in creating and delivering engaging and meaningful training presentations to small groups will be highly regarded. Previous exposure to the NDIS space will be highly regarded. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities. Collaborative team player with a results‑oriented mindset. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Mandatory Qualifications Current NSW Driver’s Licence. Current NSW White Card. Current NSW NDIS worker screening clearance. Tertiary qualifications in Environmental, Health & Safety or Quality, or 5+ years relevant experience.
