This opportunity is for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract and can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint. About the role As a Report Developer at Essential Energy you will play a key role in creating, testing, deploying and managing data and analytics solutions within Azure and Power BI. You will work closely with business users to understand their data needs, transforming and modelling data from multiple sources to deliver actionable insights. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s digital transformation by developing robust data solutions that drive business improvement and efficiency. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain data analytics solutions including data visualisations. Design, test and deploy solutions across multiple environments, maintaining technical documentation. Review and analyse systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability of data pipelines and stores. Collaborate with data owners and business units to develop models, procedures and protocols for reporting. Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses for interoperability with data solutions. Perform data profiling analysis and create ad‑hoc data models and reports to support business requirements. Implement and maintain security controls within supported systems. Analyse user requirements and design functional specifications for front‑end applications. Support knowledge management, education, continuous improvement and risk management initiatives. About You You are a proactive and innovative professional with a passion for data and analytics. Your strong technical expertise is complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in complex environments and are committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes that support business objectives. To be successful you will have Experience in data warehousing architecture, modelling and development. Practical experience designing, deploying and operating complex ICT reporting and integration systems. Proficiency in business intelligence reporting / analytics and delivering data solutions in complex environments. Experience with data processing languages such as SQL and an understanding of Databricks. Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack (Azure SQL Server, Power BI, MS Fabric). Proficient skills in Power BI reporting and MS Fabric. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage large complex workloads. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Required Qualifications Advanced Diploma of Information Technology – Advanced Data Management or equivalent experience / qualifications.
