People & Performance Manager

We’re seeking a strategic, hands‑on People & Performance Manager to drive talent, culture, and growth in a fast‑growing, values‑driven organisation. This is not a traditional HR role — you’ll shape how teams thrive, how leaders grow, and how performance drives business success. About The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you’ll balance big‑picture strategy with hands‑on delivery across the employee lifecycle. You’ll lead talent strategy, recruitment, development, performance management programmes, and embed Individual Development Plans (IDPs). You’ll also oversee the remuneration framework to ensure fairness, consistency, and market competitiveness. Other priorities include boosting engagement, strengthening HR infrastructure, and introducing initiatives that deliver measurable impact across the business. This role suits a commercially aware, emotionally intelligent People & Culture professional passionate about building workplaces where teams flourish, values are lived, and results are achieved. Your First 6 Months Develop and implement a comprehensive talent strategy covering recruitment and internal development. Lead and enhance the performance management programme. Support employees with Individual Development Plans across the workforce. About You Self‑driven, confident, and passionate about building great teams and cultures. Thrive in dynamic, growth‑oriented environments and enjoy designing and delivering people strategies from the ground up. Strong foundation in HR Business Partnering with proven experience delivering talent programmes in complex or growth‑focused organisations. Naturally partner with leaders to coach, challenge, and enable high performance. Authentic, clear communicator with the ability to navigate stakeholder relationships with maturity and pragmatism. Experience in SMEs, regional workforces, or sectors such as FMCG, agriculture, or resources is a plus. What You’ll Do Build high‑performing, engaged, values‑led teams with leaders. Lead strategies across the employee lifecycle: attraction, onboarding, development, progression, and retention. Champion a values‑led culture in all people processes. Shape the Employee Value Proposition to attract and retain top talent. Drive initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, engagement, and excellence. Own core people processes, including remuneration, benefits, and policy development. Support graduate and leadership development programmes. Lead strategic projects to evolve people and performance practices. This is a hands‑on, strategic role with the opportunity to shape culture and performance while making a real impact across a collaborative and innovative workplace.
