About the Role As the Youth Justice Manager – Pilbara/Kimberley , you will lead, develop, and oversee youth justice services across the region, including Bail and Community Mentoring programs in Kununurra, Port Hedland, and Broome. You will provide strong operational leadership, guide staff performance, manage contracts and budgets, and build trusted relationships with Youth Justice Services and community partners. This role has significant impact across service delivery, cultural engagement, team leadership, and regional program development. What’s on Offer $110,102.72 base + super + $11,000,00 regional allowance per annum Based in Broome Full-time – 38 hours per week (Mon‑Fri) Salary packaging available (up to $15,900 per year) Professional development, leadership support and ongoing supervision Free, confidential counselling for staff and families Opportunities to influence and strengthen youth justice outcomes across the region Work within a culturally secure and community‑led framework Meaningful collaboration with Youth Justice Services, Aboriginal organisations and local partners Travel within the Pilbara and Kimberley to support regional initiatives You’ll Need A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Health, Education, Social Science, Youth Work, Mental Health Nursing or similarOR extensive experience (5–9+ years) in related community, youth, justice or health services Demonstrated experience managing operational systems, contracts, reporting, and budgets Proven ability to recruit, supervise, develop and support staff, including complex performance management Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse people, communities and professionals Experience utilising data systems, implementing policies and procedures, and applying risk management and quality improvement frameworks Ability to build strong relationships with government, community services, Aboriginal community‑controlled organisations, and sector partners Highly developed communication, administrative and computer skills Important To apply, you must have the right to work in Australia.Pre‑employment requirements include: Current C or A class driver’s licence Working with Children Check National Police Certificate (within 3 months) Current First Aid Certificate Department of Justice Clearance (required prior to commencement) Next Steps Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an initial conversation and invited to interview.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
