We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Educational Leader to join the team at Newport Gardens Early Years Centre . In this role you will create a high‑standard workplace that supports staff operations, compliance, and child education. Newport Gardens Early Years Centre is an architecturally designed hub located by Newport Gardens Primary School. The centre offers large, welcoming spaces with expansive outdoor play areas and a dedicated bush garden, fostering nature‑based exploration. This newly introduced Educational Leader role enhances pedagogical leadership and elevates curriculum quality across the service. As a key influencer, you will support the development of distributed leadership, provide coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice to strengthen educator capacity and improve outcomes for children and families. This position is 32 hours per week, with flexibility for the right candidate. It is a 12‑month contract. About you You are reflective, curious and purpose‑led, with a deep commitment to making a difference. You are open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child. You are a critical thinker and a collaborative team member. You have a drive to grow and improve continually. You value kindness and respect. You have great knowledge of child‑safety standards and early childhood regulations. You hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a WWCC and a first aid certificate. You have experience with CLASS, 3a, or other pedagogical tools. You have demonstrated success in leading professional development or service improvement. You are familiar with SRF processes, improvement planning, and quality assurance. You have proven ability to coach, mentor, and build educator capacity to enhance practice. You possess highly developed organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively. About the role You will develop a high‑quality educational program for all ages in consultation with children, families, and educators, achieving agreed outcomes. You will collaborate with educators to implement an educational program driven by children’s interests, underpinned by the Early Years Learning Framework, supporting smooth transition to school. You will document the delivery of the educational program, children’s interests, and assessments of their learning and development needs. You will critically reflect and inspire staff to reflect on pedagogical practice, share ideas, and identify innovative ways to achieve positive outcomes. You will contribute to a child‑safe environment, ensuring standards are met daily. Why ECMS?
