Perks and Benefits Flexible working 9‑day fortnight at full pay on the Enterprise Agreement Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave Fertility leave Corporate wear allowance Professional development and educational assistance Salary starting from $156,345 base + 12% super And so much more What You’ll Do Climate Risk Assessment & Reporting: Deliver our climate risk assessment, report on mitigation and adaptation actions, align with the NSW Climate Risk Ready Guide and licence requirements, and support climate‑related financial disclosures. Governance & Compliance: Establish and maintain governance frameworks for climate risk management, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with regulatory and enterprise standards. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and ensure climate‑related risks are managed across the organisation; embed mitigation and adaptation strategies into planning and operations; meet our operating licence milestones. Climate Risk Management Integration: Integrate climate risk actions with WaterNSW’s business and digital strategies, drive continuous improvement, collaborate with industry partners, and build internal capability through training. Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations around limited financial and human resources; ensure the organisation remains aligned to Board decisions. What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, climate science, engineering, risk management, or related discipline. Demonstrated experience delivering climate risk assessments and implementing mitigation/adaptation actions in line with regulatory or enterprise frameworks. Experience working with government agencies, industry, and research partners on climate‑related initiatives and familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements. Strong understanding of climate risk frameworks, particularly NSW Government’s Climate Risk Ready Guide and enterprise risk management principles. Experience leading cross‑functional projects or programmes, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to executive or regulatory bodies; ability to translate complex climate risk concepts into actionable insights.
