About the Role We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our dynamic HR team at our head office in Canning Vale. Looking for a rewarding career, this is the opportunity for you As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and confidential processing of payroll for our 450 employees. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a professional and efficient service. You will be part of a supportive team, working closely with HR and Finance to manage all payroll‑related tasks. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for at least 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation. Maintain employee payroll records, including leave entitlements and superannuation. Manage payroll queries and provide timely responses to employees and management. Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations. Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements such as PAYG, Superannuation, and Single Touch Payroll (STP). Complete end‑of‑week, end‑of‑month, and end‑of‑financial‑year payroll reporting, reconciliations, and processing. Assist with the collation and management of HR & Payroll associated documentation, as required. About You We are looking for someone with: Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a medium to large organization. Strong understanding of payroll systems (experience with Definitiv and/or Micropay would be advantageous). Knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation regulations. Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
