Senior Manager Energy, Risk and Sustainability Role type: Full time, continuingDepartment: Business Services, Chief Operating Officer PortfolioSalary: Senior Manager 1 package, including 17% super About the role Manage a large energy budget for a complex portfolio and shape the University's energy, risk, and sustainability initiatives to drive impactful outcomes. Responsibilities Providing leadership: guiding energy, risk, compliance, and sustainability initiatives to support University objectives. Ensuring risk and compliance: leading risk management across the large and complex operations and delivering portfolio, ensuring adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements. Managing energy and utilities: leading efficient management of energy, water, and gas, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness. Promoting sustainability: developing programs for waste reduction, resource recovery, and circular economy practices to meet strategic targets. Qualifications & Experience Extensive leadership experience in risk, compliance, energy, and sustainability, with the ability to drive long‑term transformation and deliver impactful initiatives in a complex organisational environment. Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline. Significant experience managing large‑scale energy and utilities budgets. Visionary thinking and strategic execution capabilities. Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills. Exceptional communication and influence skills.
