Implementation Manager

* $170,000 - $180,000 inclusive of super* FTC until June 2027* Education sector, CBD Location, Hybrid working About the Role We are seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a major SAP ERP transformation program within a large and complex organisation in the education sector. This role is critical in ensuring the successful deployment of SAP across Finance & Payroll, HCM and ICT streams. As the Implementation Manager, you will oversee program governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery excellence across multiple streams, ensuring alignment to scope, timelines and quality standards. You will work closely with system integrators, functional and technical teams and senior stakeholders to drive a seamless transformation that supports long‑term organisational objectives. This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who excels in structured delivery environments and can bring clarity, discipline and momentum to a multi‑year program. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full SAP implementation life cycle, including blueprinting, build, testing, data migration, cutover and hypercare. Coordinate delivery across functional streams, technical teams and system integrators while maintaining program plans, RAID logs, milestones and dependencies. Act as the primary delivery contact for senior leadership and business owners to facilitate governance forums, status reporting and manage scope changes. Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams (PMs, consultants, developers, integration specialists) while coaching on SAP methodologies and managing vendor performance. Own program budget and financial governance and monitor burn rates, manage variances to ensure alignment with contractual and milestone requirements. Embed SAP Activate methodology overseeing testing strategies, defect management, risk mitigation and stage‑gate review processes. Ensure solution design aligns with SAP best practice to oversee integration architecture, environment strategy and data migration. Lead cutover planning and execution to minimise operational disruption, managing hyper‑care support and transition activities into BAU. Partner with Change Leads on impact assessments, training strategies, adoption planning and end‑user enablement for go‑live readiness. About You Proven experience leading large‑scale ERP transformation programs within complex enterprise environments. Strong expertise across SAP modules, integration patterns, data migration approaches and cutover planning. Demonstrated capability in managing cross‑functional delivery teams including PMs, developers, BAs, testers, security, data and change specialists. Deep understanding of governance frameworks including RAID management, executive reporting, stage‑gate processes and SAP Activate methodology. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives and technical teams. Experience managing multi‑million‑dollar program budgets with strong financial and commercial acumen.
