The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital, recognised for care of mothers, babies, and women. It is part of SESLHD and located at the Randwick Hospitals Campus. The role The Lead Pharmacist, Neonatal and Paediatric Medicine is a leadership and clinical role. The purpose is to lead the provision of comprehensive pharmacy services across The Royal Hospital for Women and affiliated services for Neonatal and Paediatric Medicine, and to lead the strategy and education for neonatal and paediatric pharmacy practice across SESLHD Hospitals, including participation in the Australian Neonatal Medicines Formulary. The role works collaboratively at site and service levels to maintain leadership and efficient provision of pharmacy services. The position is part of the Pharmacy Leadership team to provide strategic, clinical and operational objectives for the pharmacy service, with joint responsibility with other Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions to maintain leadership, management and continuity of service across all operational hours. Responsibilities Lead the provision of comprehensive pharmacy services across The Royal Hospital for Women and affiliated services for Neonatal and Paediatric Medicine; Lead the strategy and education for neonatal and paediatric pharmacy practice across SESLHD Hospitals, including activity in the Australian Neonatal Medicines Formulary; Collaborate at site and service levels to maintain leadership and efficient service provision; Contribute as an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership team to achieve strategic, clinical and operational objectives; Share joint responsibility with other Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions for leadership, management and continuity of service across all hours. Selection Criteria Registered as a practising pharmacist with AHPRA with post-registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience; Significant experience and demonstrated high level of competence in Neonatal and Paediatric clinical pharmacy services; Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to develop high quality guidelines, procedures, educational materials; Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, team building, influencing, conflict resolution and fostering a positive workplace culture; Proven ability to role model, champion and promote teamwork and management of staff; Experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and implementing initiatives; Commitment to professional development.
