The role The Lead Pharmacist, Neonatal and Paediatric Medicine is a leadership and clinical role. The purpose of the role is to lead the provision of comprehensive pharmacy services across The Royal Hospital for Women and affiliated services for the defined practice area of Neonatal and Paediatric Medicine and lead the strategy and education for neonatal and paediatric pharmacy practice across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Hospitals, including active participation in the Australian Neonatal Medicines Formulary. The role will work collaboratively at both the site and service level across the district to maintain leadership and efficient performance of pharmacy services. The Lead Pharmacist role is an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership team for the Royal Hospital for Women and SESLHD Pharmacy Services to provide strategic, clinical and operational objectives for the pharmacy service. The position will have joint responsibility with other Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions, to maintain leadership, management and continuity of service provision of the pharmacy service across all operational hours. Selection Criteria Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience. Significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in the provision of Neonatal and Paediatric clinical pharmacy services. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, team building, influencing, conflict resolution and the building of a positive workplace culture. Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork and demonstrated management and development of staff.
