About the Role We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who will handle both inbound and outbound leads to grow our sales pipeline. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you’ll be the first point of contact with prospects, mastering the sales process and qualification and setting our Account Executives up for success. This hybrid (in‑office/remote) role involves researching, initiating, and maintaining relationships while seizing every opportunity to foster growth. What You’ll Do Inbound & Outbound Prospecting: Swiftly respond to inbound inquiries, reducing initial response time; generate new business leads through outbound calls and emails. Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads through discovery calls, understand prospect needs and pain points, and articulate our product’s value proposition. Pipeline Generation: Drive urgency to progress prospects through the sales funnel and collaborate with the sales team to meet company goals and targets. Relationship Building & Event Representation: Initiate meetings between prospects and Account Executives, drive engagement, and seize new business opportunities from events. About You Based in Melbourne or Sydney, Australia and excel in a hybrid work environment that balances in‑office collaboration and remote productivity. 1–2 years of BDR experience in the B2B SaaS industry is a plus, but we welcome candidates who show potential, drive and a passion for sales even if new to the role. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas, strong grasp of qualification frameworks like MEDDICC or BANT, and experience with Salesforce, HubSpot or similar CRM platforms. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; you can build strong relationships and communicate clearly with both clients and team members. Your Qualities Hard‑Working & Resilient: You embrace challenges and persist through setbacks, seeing every obstacle as a chance to grow. Creative & Intelligent: You approach problems with a fresh perspective and solve complex issues with ease. Adaptable: You thrive in fast‑paced environments and shift gears when priorities change. Coachable: You’re hungry to learn, receptive to feedback and quick to implement new strategies. Positive & Collaborative Attitude: You bring energy and enthusiasm to your work and maintain a positive attitude when challenges arise. What’s in it for You Opportunity to progress into an outbound BDR role and then to Account Executive. Supportive, high‑energy team that values creativity and hard work. Fast‑growing, dynamic industry with room for career advancement. Competitive salary and bonus opportunities. Attractive compensation package. Pay‑time‑off (PTO), sick days, and Australian holidays. Four ROLLER Recharge days per year when quarterly goals are reached. 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 4 weeks paid parental leave for secondary carers. Vibe Tribe: company‑wide initiatives, events, fundraising & cause‑related campaigns. Team Member Assistance Program – health & well‑being support, coaching, education modules, weekly webinars. Highly flexible work environment with an All Access pass to WeWork, depending on location. Individual learning and development budget and genuine career growth opportunities. What You Can Expect Initial call with Talent Acquisition Manager – discuss experience, salary expectations and answer initial questions. Interview with Director of Business Development – learn more about the role and ROLLER while discussing experience in detail. Role Play Working Session – assemble the plan for your first year at ROLLER and share it. Loop Interviews – meet a wider ROLLER team to ensure culture and vibe align with your expectations. Offer – if the fit is right, reference checks are conducted and you receive an offer to join. Successful applicants will be required to complete a background check, including criminal history, prior to commencement of employment.
