Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Mechanical Design Engineer Above the Award pay rates (Professional Employees Award) $150,000 + Superannuation Permanent full-time (38 hours per week) Immediate Start OGTEC provides turnkey solutions to the Resource Recovery Sector. We are a market leader in the automated separation of waste materials into high quality recycled materials. OGTEC is currently seeking a skilled, motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our high performing team in our Wetherill Park office in Sydney. Duties and Responsibilities Design of recycling plants including conveyors, access platforms, chutes, hoppers and support steel, using Creo and SolidWorks, and designing from concept to completion Create and review fabrication drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software Perform engineering calculations to support design work Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs Project management of design works on projects & management of Engineering Documentation Engage with clients on design reviews, changes and delivery; ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget Ensure our designs adhere to the relevant Australian and ISO standards within the industry Develop working systems within the office to ensure consistency of approach among the design team and drive accountability and standards of work before they go out to manufacture Assist on site with the installation and commissioning of plans Carry out Health and Safety Risk Assessments (HSRA) of equipment designs and design for safety Assist with any issues during the installation or commissioning phase Qualifications & Experience Bachelor of Engineering Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in a manufacturing environment Other Skills/Abilities Highly competent using SolidWorks 3D CAD in a workshop steel fabrication environment SolidWorks/Creo certifications in Weldments, Sheet Metal, Advanced Modelling would be preferred Solid design, component selection and product evaluation / validation experience highly desired Knowledge of steel fabrication methods essential Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability Ability to communicate effectively and clearly Must be self-motivated and a great team worker Work Eligibility Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours #J-18808-Ljbffr
