The Course Coordinator of the MBA (Health Services Management) and Graduate Certificate Health Services Management are senior academics with discipline expertise and leadership skills. The Course Coordinator will demonstrate strong records in all aspects of course management and improvement. Reporting to the Academic Dean, this role contributes to creating and maintaining a culture of scholarly activity. Founded on strong values of social justice and inclusion Building partnerships with industry and students to graduate competent and confident practitioners Small class sizes with specialised teaching rooms for skill development Flexible working arrangements Scholarship opportunities with other disciplines and industry Inclusive team environment that fosters close working relationships with leadership and peers Students Admission, progression, orientation, and completion Contribute to academic induction and student orientation each study period Assess and advise on student applications for recognition of prior learning Oversee and report on student assessment and on internal and external moderation activities Provide course‑specific advice to students as required at any point in their course, including ensuring eligibility for graduation Liaise with academic staff in ensuring student progress, including monitoring student progression Liaise with academic staff to ensure student wellbeing and safety concerns are identified and appropriate referral pathways implemented Courses Review, development, and management Contribute to regular external benchmarking of coursework Manage the annual review of courses in line with IBC's policies and frameworks Compile regular reports on assessment, course review and moderation for the Learning and Teaching Committee, Course Development Committee, and the Academic Dean Oversee and report on student satisfaction surveys and staff satisfaction surveys for each study period Learning and Teaching Monitor and populate as needed the Learning Management System (LMS) website for the course to ensure academic staff have timely access to the LMS Ensure prescribed and recommended texts per subject are current and available to students and staff prior to commencement of each study period Ensure lecturers have appropriate resources for delivery of subjects Contribute to the development of timetables for each study period in consultation with academic staff Organise examinations for relevant subjects Deliver core subjects in Health Services Management and related disciplines and as required up to two units per study period Provide students with opportunities for consultation for two hours per week Ensure high quality learning experiences are delivered to students with diverse backgrounds Engage in scholarship and scholarly activity Academic Oversight Manage allegations of academic misconduct, maintain appropriate records, and provide referrals to academic support services as required Ensure accurate records of student results and grades for the study period Contribute to the recruitment and management of academic staff Comply with IBC's policies Other duties as required by the Academic Dean Required qualifications and experience Doctorate level qualification in the field of health services and/or management or a closely related cognate discipline area or equivalent. Acceptable equivalent qualifications to a Doctorate include industry leadership role with Masters degree, Masters degree with research publications, or Masters degree with extensive experience. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience and preferably a tertiary teaching qualification Minimum of 3 years field experience post‑qualification Demonstrated record of success in the administration and delivery of a related in a higher education setting, including teaching, curriculum design and review, timetabling, and assessment moderation Demonstrated record of academic scholarship as reflected in publications and conference presentations Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary teaching, learning and assessment principles relevant to the discipline, and demonstrated experience in applying these principles Successful leadership experience with the ability to motivate, lead and develop people including team building and mentoring Demonstrated engagement with the sector and communities of practice Highly developed organisational and planning skills with the ability to determine priorities, be self‑directed and work with minimal supervision Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Personal Attributes Strong interpersonal skills Superior interpersonal written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and interact with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain effective professional relationships Creative problem‑solver Ability to respect confidentiality and privacy Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a current working visa for Australia Additional Information For further information please contact: (Insert contact details) #J-18808-Ljbffr
