What We Offer Strong values of social justice and inclusion, building partnerships with industry and students Small class sizes with specialised teaching rooms for skill development Flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle Scholarship opportunities with other disciplines and industry Inclusive team environment that fosters close working relationships with leadership and peers Opportunity to graduate competent and confident practitioners who make a lasting impact Key responsibilities Course development and review Develop and deliver specific units of the MBA (Health Services Management) and Graduate Certificate Health Services Management Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum and student learning outcomes Participate in regular cycles of evaluation of coursework and teaching Provide feedback and support for peers as requested Engage in teaching practice which demonstrates currency and relevance in understanding theory and practice related to the unit and business management discipline Engage in scholarship and scholarly activities Record and integrate scholarly advances into learning and teaching practices Participate in and contribute to professional academic development Assess and grade student assessment tasks in a moderated environment Provide students with opportunities for consultation (2 hours per week per unit for both sessional and full‑time lecturers) Maintain accurate and secure records of student attendance, assignment submission and grades for each unit Manage and populate as needed the Learning Management System unit website, including duties such as preparing site content and interacting with students for the seamless operation of course units Contribute to the administration of IBC's courses as required Deliver high quality learning experiences to students with diverse backgrounds Be alert and responsive to issues related to student wellbeing and safety and ensure appropriate referral pathways are implemented Other duties as required by the Course Coordinator Required qualifications and experience Post graduate qualification in health services management, or closely related discipline, or relevant professional skills. Acceptable equivalent qualifications to a Masters include industry leadership role with Bachelor degree, Bachelor degree with research publications, or Bachelor degree with extensive experience. At least two years in leading, designing, developing, and managing learning and teaching units in health services management. At least three years post‑qualification in the health services sector. Demonstrated experience in unit co‑ordination and assessment. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of a unit in human and community services in a higher education setting. Active in scholarship that informs teaching and relevant professional development as reflected in publications, conference presentations, membership of professional association and research. Knowledge of contemporary teaching, learning and assessment principles relevant to the human and community services discipline and experience in implementing these principles. Strong links to the health services sector.
