Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) Full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 years with a high-performing professional team Base salary will be in the range $93,491.78 - $100,296.97 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at our vibrant and picturesque St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity As a Senior Student Experience Officer, you will play a key role in fostering a sense of community, engagement, and belonging among BEL students. You will develop and deliver initiatives and events that support students as they transition into university life and prepare for their future. Key responsibilities will include: Support student-facing, cohort-building initiatives that promote a sense of belonging and enable student success at all stages of their learning journey. Coordinate community events, meetings, and activities for large cohorts of students. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work in partnership with students, staff, alumni, and student clubs and societies to implement projects, including recruitment and training of paid and volunteer students. Collaboratively develop processes and guidelines to streamline engagement with current students and other relevant stakeholders. Contribute to the development and implementation of a social media presence, website, and other student outreach channels. Demonstrated experience in designing and coordinating projects to improve the student experience in a higher education environment, particularly in relation to enhancing student belonging and/or employability. Experience working in partnership with a diverse range of students at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, particularly students, senior staff and industry. Ability to analyse data, write succinct reports, and accurately integrate information from a variety of sources. Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work independently, prioritise own workload and meet deadlines. Understanding of BEL faculty disciplines and student cohorts (including international and professional learners), or evidence of your ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
