About the Role As the Assistant State Manager for Queensland, you will work closely with the State Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across the region. This role blends hands‑on leadership with strategic input, offering exposure to all facets of service delivery, logistics, compliance, people leadership and customer experience. You’ll support and guide a diverse workforce (both blue‑ and white‑collar), ensure smooth operational performance across all QLD sites, and play a key role in maintaining a positive, inclusive and high‑performance culture. When the State Manager is offsite, you will confidently step in to lead the state. This role offers genuine development and succession potential for someone who is ready to grow into broader state‑level leadership over time. Key Responsibilities Supporting the daily running of QLD operations, including service delivery, logistics, customer service and compliance. Leading and coaching multi‑disciplinary teams across several locations. Assisting with workforce planning, training, recruitment and performance management. Upholding safety, quality and accreditation standards (SQF, HACCP, ISCC). Collaborating with teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen customer experience. Acting as the primary leader in periods where the State Manager is unavailable. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and embedding a “one team” culture across the state. About You You’re an experienced people leader who thrives in busy, service‑driven environments. Perhaps you’ve been an Assistant Manager , Operations Manager , Business Manager , Depot Manager , 2IC or you’ve gained leadership exposure within: Food Service / FMCG / Distribution / Transport / Manufacturing Hospitality or food & beverage (multi‑site or high‑volume) Sporting clubs, facilities, multi‑site hospitality or Kitchen Management or other environments with diverse teams You will bring: A respectful, inclusive leadership style and the ability to connect with people at every level. Experience working with both blue‑ and white‑collar groups. Strong judgement, resilience and the confidence to make decisions. A genuine interest in understanding operations “on the floor” and supporting people hands‑on. Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build trust and foster teamwork. Why This Role?
