Shire of Capel is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to take on the role of Manager, Strategic Governance & Risk. The role involves leading a skilled team across governance, compliance, risk management, procurement, contracts, leasing and fleet management. It is a fixed‑term, full‑time position (up to 12 months) intended to cover parental leave, ideally commencing January 2026. Job Details: Location: Capel, South West Australia Type: Full Time (Contract) Salary: $125,664 per annum (dependent on skills, experience and qualifications) Application Deadline: 9:00 am, Wednesday 10 December 2025 Job Description As Manager, Strategic Governance & Risk you will provide strategic leadership and oversight across governance, compliance, risk management, procurement, contracts, leasing and fleet management. You will ensure frameworks and processes are effective, compliant and aligned with the Shire’s strategic objectives. The role requires attendance once a month at Ordinary Council Meetings, held on the last Wednesday of each month from 6 pm.
