Overview Make-A-Wish® creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The Devonport Branch is seeking an enthusiastic Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to help raise much‑needed funds and ensure the ongoing ability to make vital wishes come true. Responsibilities Coordinating fundraising activities – from sausage sizzles to gala balls. Inspiring and empowering fellow volunteers to get involved in fundraising. Working closely with the Community Fundraising & Events Team. Raising awareness in the local community. Participating in local branch meetings (held monthly on a weekday evening). Capturing the child’s unique wish and supporting it through all stages of the Wish Journey. Qualifications & Requirements At least 12 months commitment as a Branch volunteer. Comprehensive background check: interview, reference checks, Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and National Background Check. Complete online induction training within first 6 weeks. Basic technical skills and access to a personal e‑mail address and a computer or smartphone/device. Regular attendance at monthly branch meetings and ability to attend meetings, wishes and fundraising events (access to reliable transport). 18 years of age or older.
