Maintenance Manager

Dorsett Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance function across the hotel, ensuring the property remains safe, operational, and guest-ready at all times. This role does not perform trade maintenance work directly. Instead, you will provide coordination, oversight, governance, communication, and escalation of all Repairs & Maintenance services, working closely with our onsite services partner and external contractors. You’ll play a vital leadership role, collaborating closely with internal operational teams to ensure maintenance services are delivered in line with contractual commitments and hotel operational needs. What You'll Be Doing Act as the primary Dorsett contact for all outsourced Repairs & Maintenance and Health & Safety services. Oversee daily reactive and preventative maintenance operations to ensure timely completion. Review, approve, and prioritise work orders via Maximo and Optii. Monitor job progress and escalate delays to ensure prompt resolution. Coordinate communication of outages, room status changes, and operational risks with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, BOH spaces, and plant rooms. Ensure PPM programs are delivered in line with maintenance standards and service agreements. Coordinate contractor access, inductions, permits, and safe work compliance. Manage rostering and labour resource planning for contracted Property Operations team members to ensure appropriate shift coverage, operational continuity, and timely response to maintenance requests. Assist with CAPEX planning, quotations, and lifecycle replacement recommendations. Maintain maintenance documentation, statutory compliance records, and reporting dashboards. Provide on‑floor operational support and assist with service recovery when required.
