We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Product Lead to oversee the design and solution assurance of enterprise-scale digital systems, including platforms such as SAP and Maximo. This is a strategic role that requires deep functional and technical expertise to ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and future‑proof solutions that align with Sydney Water’s technology roadmap. You will work across cross‑functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the technical components of our product suite are robust, well‑architected, and meet the evolving needs of the business. This role plays a vital part in enhancing solution design quality, managing system enhancements, and driving continuous improvement across complex digital environments. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead technical solution design aligned with architectural and governance standards Guide configuration and development across enterprise systems (SAP, Maximo, integration tools) Enforce consistency in technical design and development practices across product platforms Conduct technical reviews and ensure production‑readiness of all solutions Minimise technical debt through adherence to standards and reusable design patterns Solution Enablement & Process Apply structured delivery frameworks (e.g., ISMS, Digital Business Delivery, UAT, Service Management) Ensure alignment of solution design with process documentation and modelling frameworks Lead functional requirement gathering and validate alignment with business objectives Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with business users, product managers, architects, and vendor partners Lead technical discussions, solution options papers, and governance escalations Provide expert advisory across data migration, integration, and reporting workstreams Support prioritisation of technical requirements and roadmap planning Governance & Collaboration Review and contribute to design documentation, traceability matrices, and technical specifications Address risks, issues, and outstanding design decisions through structured forums Foster cross‑functional collaboration to support sustainable delivery and innovation Identify opportunities to improve solution scalability, maintainability, and business value Support root cause analysis and long‑term system/process enhancement strategies Contribute to financial planning, estimation, and resourcing of product delivery Skills & Experience Required 10+ years’ experience in digital transformation and delivery of enterprise technology solutions Expertise in solution design, configuration, testing, documentation, and governance across enterprise systems Strong hands‑on experience with platforms such as SAP (full suite) and Maximo Proven ability to oversee end‑to‑end project implementations in high‑pressure environments Deep understanding of IT delivery frameworks , technical best practices, and business process alignment Demonstrated experience in evaluating multiple solution options and making architectural decisions Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills Experience working in utilities or similarly complex industry environments is highly desirable Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Postgraduate desirable) Certifications in relevant technology product suites (e.g., SAP Certified Application Specialist) Familiarity with enterprise security and information governance policies is essential Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Level Employment Type: Full‑time Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
