Health and Wellbeing Project Officer – Melton City Council Permanent full‑time position (Fixed Term until 31/12/26). Band 5 – Salary $81,006‑$93,280 per annum pro rata +12% super + ADO. The Opportunity Health and Wellbeing Project Officer reporting to the Team Leader, Community Health Promotion within the Healthy Inclusive Communities team. Proactive, self‑motivated, with a strong understanding of health promotion and social equity principles. Able to embed collaboration and inclusion across health and wellbeing initiatives. Key Responsibilities Deliver the multiple, yearly Sons and Daughters of The West community 10‑week programs. Deliver relevant prevention‑focused health and wellbeing activities, events and campaigns in collaboration with community stakeholders. Work with the team to develop and implement evidence‑based initiatives aimed at improving health and wellbeing in Melton. Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders to enable collective impact for city health outcomes. Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and ensure marginalised voices are represented. About You – Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health, community development, health or social sciences, or related field with little or no relevant work experience, or a lesser qualification with relevant work skills. Excellent time management and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication for varying audiences. Knowledge and understanding of health promotion principles, social determinants of health and chronic disease prevention. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends. Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
