Apex Australia Higher Education – Melbourne VIC The Admissions and Student Support Officer will provide support the admissions process, quality assurance of student applications and involvement with the initial and ongoing analysis of student data, the setting up, integration and delivery of streamlined visa processing procedures. To be successful in this role you will have excellent customer service skills and be highly personable, with exceptional organisation, communication and management skills. Key responsibilities and duties: Admissions Process student applications including Genuine Student (GS) assessment Create and approve offer letters accurately and in a timely manner maximising the conversion of enquiries into applications and enrolments Maintain accurate student records in PRISMS/Meshed and issuing and approving Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with relevant legislation and APEX policies Respond professionally, accurately and in a timely manner to enquiries regarding courses and admission requirements to internal and external customers as well as providing administrative support to staff when required Communicate effectively with other staff (recruitment, finance, marketing, campus) Post intake activity e.g., deferrals / cancellations Recommendations for process improvement Conduct academic and English assessment. Undertake projects as required by the Admissions Leadership team Student Support Deliver excellence in frontline customer service through innovative, consistent and quality service. Provide advice and assistance/referral to support services to support the student experience. Provide general administrative services including the follow up of academic transcripts and awards and the production of official documentation, front of house reception duties, correspondence, database maintenance, filing, reporting and others as required. Participate, support coordination and delivery of campus events and campus tours Building rapport with students to actively encourage and ensure they feel comfortable and supported. Key role in providing non-academic support to overseas students, including providing AHE student support under ESOS Act of 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 Provide support for the Campus on a wide variety of administrative tasks to ensure the fulfilment of Apex Higher Education policy and procedures. Effective use of relevant Microsoft Office programs to create documents, enter and maintain data, manage processes and provide general administrative support. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2 years’ work experience in the international education sector, specifically in admissions and student support Have a good understanding of the demands of the sector Be passionate about customer service and student outcomes Have experience using student or client management system including Meshed Will have experience and skills with the Microsoft Suite at an intermediate to advanced level Be curious about process and the opportunities for improvement Knowledge and understanding of: Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements including but not limited to the ESOS Act and The National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 Understanding of education qualifications and how to assess them. #J-18808-Ljbffr
