Location: Brisbane, QLD Sector: Rail | Infrastructure | Major Projects The Opportunity The Project Accountant will support project delivery through accurate financial analysis, reporting, and oversight. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance, driving efficiency, and providing data‑driven insights that guide strategic decision‑making across operations. Key Responsibilities Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting and analysis. Lead financial reporting, project valuations, and forecasting for a complex, high‑value program. Deliver month‑end processes including journals, reconciliations, cost allocations, and profitability analysis. Manage Forecast Costs at Completion (FCAC) modelling and provide meaningful variance analysis. Oversee WIP, billings, and working capital management. Support continuous improvement across financial systems, processes, and controls. Contribute to broader business reporting and assist with project submissions and payment claims. About You Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking certification. 3–6 years’ experience in project accounting within infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing. Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, or equivalent) and strong Excel capability. Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
