Lead the research including reporting of outcomes for children with cerebral palsy (CP) and other neurodevelopmental disabilities, and their families, in research programs undertaken within QCPRRC. About The Team The Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (QPRS) is based at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and has close links with other hospitals and service providers. The service operates within a state‑wide model, with an interdisciplinary structure and an emphasis on child and family‑centred care, evidence‑based practice and the use of outreach and telehealth technologies to provide high quality tertiary health programs to children with rehabilitation needs. About The Role Independently apply advanced level physiotherapy and research knowledge and skills to design, develop, plan, implement and report research methodologies for major research programmes of the QCPRRC. Lead and progress rehabilitation research projects for children with CP and other neurodevelopmental disabilities for CHQ and QCPRRC with research partners. Guide multiple stakeholders in paediatric rehabilitation research for children with CP and other neurodevelopmental disabilities to influence clinical processes and clinical practice standards. Work collaboratively and effectively with key Queensland and national stakeholders in paediatric rehabilitation research for children with CP to achieve optimal health outcomes. Lead professional development in the early surveillance of high‑risk infants and management of children with CP and other neurodisability building on research outcomes across CHQHHS, QCPRRC and Queensland. Provide advanced level physiotherapy clinical support and advice within paediatric rehabilitation for children with CP and other neurodevelopmental disabilities to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders across Queensland regarding aspects of the research programme. Lead and provide specialised clinical advice to a range of health professionals (internal and external to CHQHHS), service managers and health care consumers regarding the outcomes of assessment and the possible implications of the research programme. Lead successful grant applications to provide ongoing support for rehabilitation research activities for children with CP and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Be responsible to monitor and report on the research programme.
