Parkville EMR Help Desk Analyst – The Royal Children’s Hospital The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) has a vision of "A world where all kids thrive". RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children’s Campus, partnering with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. With more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M and 12 wards, RCH provides paediatric and adolescent health services across Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and beyond, supporting over 300,000 specialist clinic appointments, 90,000 emergency department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries annually. Role Overview This is a fixed‑term position (two roles) for a total of 80 hours per fortnight within the Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team. The EMR Help Desk provides the first level of support for the EMR, acting as a single point of contact for telephone support, e‑mail, and logged requests from precinct staff and consumers experiencing portal access problems. Classification ranges from Grade 3 Year 1 (AO31) to Grade 3 Year 5 (AO35), with an FTE base salary of $74,448.40 to $82,305.60 per annum plus superannuation. Responsibilities Provide a high level of customer service to stakeholders and consumers. Respond to incident reports from precinct staff, including workflow issues, application errors and user access problems. Actively monitor, resolve, troubleshoot and report incident and service requests to deliver a responsive support service that meets user needs. Qualifications and Experience Technical/administration training with several years’ experience or equivalent work experience. Experience with an EMR or Health IT system. Customer service experience. Previous help desk or end‑user support experience. Other Requirements Current National Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain one. Valid Working with Children Check. Compliance with RCH’s "Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine‑Preventable Diseases" procedure. Benefits Eligibility for fitness passport and access to a range of fitness facilities.
