Our customers enjoy refreshing cocktails and a world-class dining experience whilst relaxing along the stunning Glenelg Marina. Junipers on the Marina is seeking a talented and qualified Chef to join our passionate team. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals committed to creating exceptional dishes and leading a busy kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes using various kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, and ovens, ensuring impeccable presentation and consistent flavour. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and special dishes. Monitor food quality and portion sizes, upholding the highest standards of taste, freshness, and appearance. Train, supervise, and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive kitchen environment. Oversee kitchen inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and implement strategies to minimize waste through effective portion control and storage practices. Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, always maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Assist in planning and executing special events and catering functions, delivering memorable culinary experiences for guests. Qualification and Experience Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery. Proven experience as a chef for at least 1 year. Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
