What You’ll Do As a Principal / Lead Solutions Engineer you will be at the forefront of driving technical pre‑sales activities for HubSpot’s most sophisticated customers. You’ll work closely with our sales teams, other solutions engineers, and cross‑functional groups to deliver tailored, value‑driven solutions that meet customer needs. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Sales Teams: Partner with Account Executives to understand customer needs and develop technical strategies to meet those needs. Lead Technical Pre‑Sales Engagements: Drive conversations around integration, data migration, and custom technical solutions. Customer Advocacy: Be the voice of the customer by providing feedback to our product teams to prioritize customer needs in future product developments. Mentor and Coach Sales Teams: Guide and train Account Executives on HubSpot’s capabilities, helping them create value‑oriented solutions for prospects. Global Collaboration: Work closely with SEs across the globe on initiatives that improve team processes and customer outcomes. Who You Are You’re a seasoned technical expert with a customer‑facing mindset. You are passionate about problem‑solving, driven by continuous learning, and have the ability to communicate complex solutions in clear, compelling ways. The Ideal Candidate Have 4 years of experience in a customer‑facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting). Be a storyteller: Convey technical concepts in a way that resonates with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Focus on customer needs: Understand business challenges and craft solutions that drive measurable value. Exhibit problem‑solving skills: Break down complex challenges and translate them into actionable solutions. Thrive in collaboration: Work well with cross‑functional teams and contribute to a supportive, growth‑oriented environment. Bring technical expertise in API integrations, data migrations, and technical architecture. Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms is a plus.
