Join to apply for the Employment Lawyer (Associate/Senior Associate) role at Legal People About the role Take on a dynamic role as an Employment Lawyer in a supportive and collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, highly organised practitioner ideally at Associate/Senior Associate level, ready to take ownership of employment law matters. In this close-knit employment team, you’ll work alongside a highly regarded Partner and play an integral role in delivering high-quality work across a diverse range of employment matters. Duties You will work across a broad range of sectors and industries including but not limited to aged care, hospitality, retail, property, construction, local councils, government entities, education providers, finance advisors, healthcare/pharmaceutical and not for profit. Draft employment and contractor agreements and interpret awards and enterprise agreements. Advise on compliance with workplace legislation, privacy obligations, and employee entitlements. Manage workplace disputes, including resolution strategies and commercial proceedings. Guide employers through discrimination, equal opportunity, performance management, and conduct issues. Oversee termination and redundancy processes to ensure lawful and effective outcomes. Skills & experience Solid employment law experience at Associate/Senior Associate level. Strong service mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach. Exceptional communication and time-management skills. Sharp attention to detail and polished drafting capability. Confident multitasker with the ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work autonomously while contributing strongly to a collaborative team.
