Social: Recognition programs and social events to celebrate our team's achievements About The Opportunity As a result of growth and expansion we have a full‑time permanent opportunity at our 76,000 square metre DC at Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine for a highly motivated DC Leading Hand who will assist in leading our Pickingteam. Reporting directly to the Team Leader the primary focus of this hands‑on role will be to provide direction to the team ensuring safe and efficient work practices. You will work closely with the DC leadership team to promote a team‑based culture that focuses on process improvement in line with our company values. Your day to day will include : Assist in leading, motivating and supporting the picking team of up to 30 to 40 staff encouraging a safe, team‑based culture Ensure tasks are picked and confirmed within agreed timeframes, reporting daily exceptions to the Warehouse Management team Assist in multi‑skilling your team across a variety of warehouse tasks, including technology of voice picking, rf scanning and mhe equipment and WMS usage. Ensure the accurate QA reporting and despatch of orders and relevant documentation Provide hands on training in conjunction with the team leader and team manager Cleanse orders within the current warehouse management system; WMS-MLS. Plan all labour resources to meet varying day‑to‑day demands Encourage and maintain a safety‑focused culture across all areas of the facility Ensure the warehouse is kept in a clean, tidy & safe condition About YOU Ideally you have worked in a similar role within a fast‑paced DC environment, and you enjoy leading teams to succeed and grow ensuring our customers' expectations are exceeded. In addition, you have the following skills / experience : Previous exposure in a Greenfield or Go Live environment would be highly advantageous Proven experience using complex warehouse management systems (SAP EWM) and WAMAS is desirable Previous experience within an FMCG environment inclusive of high skus would be advantageous Strong leadership skills and attention to detail Microsoft Office – intermediate Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
