Senior Performance Media Manager – Overview The Senior Performance Media Manager plays a pivotal role in propelling UMA's digital media campaigns into the future. This individual employs a range of innovative media buying techniques to ensure effective marketing. Acting as a role model and influencer within the team, the Senior Performance Media Manager not only oversees the day‑to‑day management of digital media campaigns but also supports strategic planning and buying initiatives to elevate performance. Their expertise and experience serve the team, driving continuous improvement and fostering growth within the team. Key Responsibilities Support UMA labels in planning biddable media campaigns across various media (display, mobile, video, social & native) as directed by the Head of Performance Media. Work closely with the Head of Performance Media on planning/buying strategy and team initiatives. Lead within the Performance Media team, upholding behavioral pillars in day‑to‑day functioning. Act as an expert across buying platforms and regularly advise labels and wider teams of opportunities as they arise. Influence peers and managers across UMA. Manage media budgets, draft and revise media schedules with accompanying rationale. Ensure campaigns are created and implemented to best achieve campaign performance and media efficiency goals. Support management of UMA’s Spotify Contra allocation to ensure efficient and effective handling of contra to uphold UMA’s reputation. Build and manage biddable media campaigns within demand‑side platforms and/or across partners such as Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Snapchat, Twitter, DV360, Campaign Manager. Monitor pacing and delivery to ensure campaigns are on track to deliver the allocated budget without overspending. Prepare analysis and insight to accompany reports provided to the labels. Stay apprised of opportunities for reaching the target audiences of UMA artists. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of innovation in ad platforms, ad formats and share this information with the labels and wider UMA team. Act as an internal champion for biddable media within the labels. Qualifications & Experience 3+ years of experience within digital media, planning and buying across paid social and programmatic. Deep cross‑functional understanding of the digital media industry, with sound knowledge of past and upcoming changes impacting relevant media platforms. 1+ years of management experience. A consistent track record of cross‑functional leadership and partnership. Analytics skills with the ability to turn complex, disparate datasets into insights that drive strategies and solutions. Ability to drive business outcomes with experience working in media buying, improving impact across media channels. A solid understanding of the programmatic media ecosystem and technology, including exchanges, networks, ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, CDPs and trading desks. An appreciation and understanding of how digital fits in the overall marketing/media strategy. Proficiency in using digital research tools such as CommScore and Nielsen. Proficiency across Microsoft Suite. Strong communication, project management, time management and analytical skills. Experience managing multiple campaigns in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to think creatively and strategically, comfortably identifying and resolving problems within the available platforms.
