This is an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer wishing to develop their skills and work in-house as part of a supportive legal team providing legal services to a national business that operates in the dynamic fast moving consumer goods and aquaculture sectors. As part of a global aquaculture corporate group, the business is committed to operating sustainably and to addressing the challenges of climate change with positive solutions. The full‑time position has arisen due to a departure from our busy legal team. You will have the opportunity to direct your work in a team environment, to make a valuable contribution that influences business outcomes, while . Based at our gorgeous waterfront office in Hobart, the position offers a unique opportunity to connect locally and put into play your (desirable) experience in one or more of : commercial law, contracts and drafting, intellectual property and consumer law. If you don’t have experience in all of these – that is okay – we would still love to hear from you. What does success look like? Handling diverse and challenging legal matters and taking a proactive pathway to solve problems. Applying your legal knowledge to facilitate commercial goals. Demonstrated ability as a generalist across various aspects of law. Resilient, positive, adaptive and can work autonomously. A desire to work in‑house and contribute to the team and business overall goals. Applying effective interpersonal and communication skills to achieve timely results. Admitted to practice as a lawyer in an Australian jurisdiction. Workplace experience as a lawyer between 2 to 4 years post admission to practice.
