About the role Are you a customer‑focused professional looking for a rewarding full‑time role that offers flexibility? We're seeking a Relief Bar Supervisor/Duty Manager to join our team at the Cowboys Leagues Club in Townsville, Queensland. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for our valued members and guests. What you’ll be doing Supervising and coordinating the activities of our front‑of‑house team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Overseeing the day‑to‑day operations, including stock control, cash handling, and compliance with relevant regulations. Assisting with the management of cash handling and reconciliation procedures. Providing training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborating with the management team to implement strategies for continuous improvement. What we’re looking for Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory or duty management role within the hospitality industry. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide exceptional member/guest experiences. Proficiency in cash handling, stock control and financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Mandatory requirements Must hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG), or be willing to obtain. Must hold a Food Safety Handlers Certificate, or be willing to obtain. Requirement to undertake a National Police Check. What we offer Discounts on food, drinks, and merchandise.
